Dear MISD families,
At approximately 10:40 a.m. this morning, Monday, December 18, 2023, Mercedes ISD Administration was alerted that a lockdown had been inadvertently activated during a software update at Zachary Taylor Elementary School. Law Enforcement did visit the school following the lockdown protocol.
Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff is our paramount concern.
