The Mercedes Independent School District is proud to announce that the Tiger Wind Ensemble has been recognized for their outstanding efforts and dedication.
Last spring, the ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Guy McKinney, entered the 2024 Performance of Achievement recording contest, joining bands from across the country. The Tiger Wind Ensemble emerged as a National Gold Medalist Grand Champion performer, marking a proud achievement for both the ensemble and our district.
This recognition is a reflection of the collective efforts of our musicians, their support systems, and our exceptional staff who have contributed to their success. The Mercedes ISD community continues to be inspired by their perseverance and drive.
