Mercedes Independent School District proudly congratulates Mercedes High School Debonnaire, Christa Barrientes, for her outstanding achievement in representing the district at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
Christa joined an elite group of dancers from across the country as part of Spirit of America Productions. Each year, Spirit of America Productions assembles a team of dancers and cheerleaders, ages 14 and older, to perform during the iconic parade. The event is watched by millions worldwide and showcases the exceptional skills and dedication of its performers.
Christa was invited to perform as an All-American Dancer after a competitive tryout process during her summer dance camp. In addition to participating in this iconic American tradition, Christa had the opportunity to tour New York City landmarks during her trip.
Congratulations, Christa, on this incredible accomplishment and for representing Mercedes ISD with pride and grace on a national stage!
