Mercedes ISD is proud to announce that two Mercedes High School students, Khloe Belcher and Carlie Rabel, have been selected to represent the district in an exciting opportunity with RGV LEAD and the TED-Ed Student Talks program.
This prestigious opportunity will allow the students to develop and present their own TED-style talk, empowering them to share their unique ideas and perspectives with a broader audience. The program is designed to foster leadership, communication, and innovation, equipping students with the tools to craft and deliver compelling messages.
As part of the TED-Ed Student Talks program, the students will receive mentorship and guidance to refine their talks, which will be recorded in May/June 2025. Their final presentations will be shared on RGV LEAD’s YouTube channel and submitted to the TED-Ed Great Ideas Quest platform.
Mercedes ISD remains committed to supporting student innovation and leadership through programs that challenge students to think critically, communicate effectively, and inspire their peers.
