Julio Leon won First Place🥇 with his captivating short story “Soul Bound,” earning a $100 cash prize and Charline Gonzalez earned Third Place🥉 with her tale, winning a $50 cash prize.

Taylor Elementary students had the opportunity to explore an ofrenda (altar) that was displayed inside the campus library to commemorate Día de los Muertos. 🌺
Students learned about the rich traditions of the holiday, guided by infographics explaining the symbolism behind the objects that made up the ofrenda. Along with the altar, there were also vibrant decorations throughout the hallways, creating an immersive experience of the cultural traditions. #MISDpride
