What an electric Friday night at Tiger Stadium! 🏈🐾✨ Our Varsity Tigers played strong at their final home game of the season, and came away with a 48-21 victory against the Brownsville Pace Vikings! It was also a night to remember as we celebrated Senior Night with a special Senior Walk after the game honoring the Class of 2025. 🎓 A huge congratulations to all of our seniors and thank you to the Mercedes ISD families and community for your support!
Head Coach Roger Adame, Jr. said the Tigers appreciated everyone's support throughout the regular season. Our Tiger Varsity football team finished second in District 16-5A II and will host the Bi-District Playoff game against the Sharyland Rattlers this Friday, November 15, 2024 at Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
🎟️ Season ticket holders can purchase their tickets Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., only in-person at the Field House. Tickets are $8 and must be purchased in person with a card. Cash will not be accepted.
All remaining tickets will be available to the general public starting Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Let’s pack the stands and support our Tigers as they continue their playoff journey! 🏈 #MISDpride

Mercedes ISD is proud to announce that MECA has been named the Secondary Campus Champions of the Tiger All-Star Attendance Challenge! 🌟 To celebrate their hard work and dedication to meeting their attendance goals, students with Perfect Attendance were treated to a pizza party today.
Throughout this fall semester, students across the district have been recognized as “Tiger Attendance All-Stars" and we are #MISDproud of their enthusiasm throughout the initiative and effort to make "every day count" at Mercedes ISD.

Thank you to Ninfa Purcell, PhD, of College Station, for the impactful presentation at this morning’s Fentanyl Awarness Parent Workshop. Dr. Purcell provided critical insights on the dangers of fentanyl, how it is impacting communities across Texas, and also equipped attendees with life-saving resources, including free naloxone and training on its administration.
A special thanks to Head Nurse Veronica Bustamante and Family Engagement Specialist Dr. Mireya Garcia for their dedication in organizing this educational event for our community. A huge congratulations to Lady Tiger Stephanie Cano for her great finish at the UIL 5A Regional Cross Country Meet! Stephanie placed 39th out of 183 runners in an extremely competitive field. She was also the first female athlete from District 32-5A to cross the finish. 👟🐾

📢 Attention Mercedes ISD families: Starting Monday, November 4, 2024, free COVID-19 tests will be available at your child’s school, while supplies last.
Tests will be available for pick up at the school's front office or from the school nurse, and will also be distributed during student pick-up times. Each student is eligible to receive two (2) boxes. For more information, please see the flyer or reach out to your school nurse. #MISDhealthservices

Mercedes High School RGV LEAD Ambassadors recently attended a Fall Leadership Workshop at South Texas College’s Mid-Valley campus in Weslaco. Ambassadors took advantage of the opportunity to learn and collaborate with peers from across the RGV. 💡📚🎓
